Yakima Stake Young Women Camp 2025
Standards Agreement
We acknowledge that the Young Women of Yakima Stake have concerns and may be struggling with a myriad of difficult issues. We want camp to be a place where you feel supported and ministered to while having time away from the influence of the world. Most importantly, it is a place where you can develop a deeper, personal relationship the Savior. To help meet those goals and as recommended in the YW Camp Guide, there are specific requirements for attending our stake camp.
For the Strength of Youth pamphlet can be found at:
https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/for-the-strength-of-youth/06-body?lang=eng
During registration you will be asked to acknowledge that you will follow the guidelines in For the Strength of Youth. In addition, you will agree to follow these specific requirements:
● Be modest in my choice of daily clothing, pajamas and swimsuit attire.
● Ensure my language and actions show respect for fellow campers and reverence for Heavenly Father.
● Remember that sexual discussions of any nature should not happen at camp with anyone for any reason. While these types of discussions may happen at YW camp with leaders, they are best addressed at home with parent and/or Bishop involvement.
● Come prepared to sleep on my own single pad/air mattress and my own sleeping bag. Sharing of sleeping spaces will not be permitted.
● Treat others with kindness and refrain from pulling pranks at camp. I will choose to have a good attitude. I will be respectful to my leaders and follow their instructions.
● Ensure all electronic devices/phones are left at home.
● Not do anything to jeopardize the safety of fellow campers including physical threats or verbal abuse. I will practice safe fire methods and only do so under the supervision of leaders.
● Follow the guideline that states only adult leaders are allowed to drive vehicles to, during, and home from camp.
